The Morgan County Charter Schools community is mourning the loss of two of the best of Morgan County due to a tragic accident that occurred over the holiday weekend.There are no words that can ease the sorrow and sadness we feel right now. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of these exceptional young men.
MCCS is focused on providing additional support and resources. Our counselors will be present at Morgan County Middle School for support for our students, staff, families and community. Processing this news is going to take time, and we will be here for every student, every family, and every staff member.

š£NOTICE OF SCHOOL EARLY RELEASEš£ Due to the forecasted winter weather projected for our area, Morgan County Charter Schools will release 2 hours early on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. All after-school programs and activities are canceled.
MCCS is monitoring the weather and will make a determination regarding Wednesday's schedule by Tuesday afternoon. Thank you for your continued support as we make decisions based on what's best for our students on buses, young drivers, employees, and parents.

As a result, all after-school games, practices, programs, activities, and meetings scheduled for tomorrow are canceled. Information regarding Saturdayās events will be communicated directly by your childās coach or event coordinator.
To account for this closure, MCCS will now be open and in person on January 31, 2025, which was previously scheduled as a Digital Learning Day.

This special ceremony will take place between the girlsā and boysā basketball games at Morgan County High School.
